Last year I got the opportunity to meet Joy Mangano at an event and she was wonderful and spent so much time talking to me about her creations and why she went into business for herself. Her story is an inspiring one.
In 1990, Joy Mangano, a divorced mother of three and booking clerk at Eastern Airlines, created a self-wringing mop which she demonstrated in parking lots, flea markets and boat shows. She sold very few. Then, with no on-camera TV experience, she talked her way into plugging her invention on QVC and in less than a half hour, sold 18,000 mops. To date, she has sold millions and millions of Miracle Mops.
Three years ago, David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook) directed an Oscar-nominated movie based on her life, Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert DeNiro. Last year, Mangano wrote a best-selling book, Inventing Joy which she says, is for those who want to build a brave and creative life.

After hearing all these positive things, I had to get my hands on the product and test it out. I have been doing tons of Fall cleaning and it has been terrific.
